Escape The Heat (leaps into the air) 2.0
Today marks a new day for the Escape The Heat project!
THE MAJOR 2.0 UPDATEEEEEEEE
The new updated game includes a major new addition I made to the game, alongside some bug fixes.
The 2.0 update adds *drum rolls* TOUCH CONTROLS! Now you can play Escape the Heat on your phone!
I also updated the Controls info menu to showcase how you play the controls alongside a Legend in the description to explain what each hand means.
My idea of how the game should be played on Mobile may not be the best. If you have any feedback, please leave it in the comments!
In other news, I'm also happy to announce that we got 3rd place in GameGen's Game Fight Club event! The competition was tough, given the richness of their games, so the team and I were fortunate to reach that high level. But here's hoping that we get 1st place someday!
RELEASE NOTES:
- Added: Touch Screen Support
- Added: Control scheme for Touch Screen Support in the Controls Info Menu

- Added: Cinematic booms in the Ending cutscenes
- Added: A fade-in transition between the Result Screen into the Start Menu
- Added: Additional text explaining how to select the options and confirming your option
- Changed: The timing for the next text to appear in the Ending cutscenes to give some breathing room in between the cinematic booms
- Changed: Stopping all audio if the player skips the Ending cutscenes, to make sure the cinematic booms don't bleed into the Result screen
- Changed: Some of the text in the game to give Mobile players a better user experience
- Changed: The volume for certain sound effects and music that were too loud or too quiet
- Changed: Some of the positioning of the text in the game for a better, cleaner look, including the Ending cutscenes

- Fixed: The cubs amount found being set to 2 (same story as the timer), it's back to 0
- Fixed: Getting Ending 3 despite finding some of the cubs when the timer hits 0
- Fixed: The cutscenes for each Ending are not playing before reaching the Result Screen
- Fixed: One of the texts not appearing for the cutscene for Ending 3
- Fixed: The music for Ending 3 in the Result Screen sometimes does not play (compared to the original release)
- Fixed: THE CINEMATIC BOOM THAT PLAYED EVERY SINGLE TIME WHICH I FIGURED OUT WHEN I POSTED THE 2.0 UPDATE OH MY GOD I HATE CODING
- Fixed: The Full Screen not entirely being...Full Screen
